Ana's Surgery, Prep. for Uganda

Kurt Schimke on March 1, 2006

Dear Precious Family,

Today was an eventful day, as our tender little 2 1/2 year old, Ana, went through eye surgery to correct an eye coordination problem that she has had since birth. The surgeon tells us that everything went well, and that she handled herself exceptionally well for a girl her age. And that’s Ana for you, she typically comes across as unusually mature. Naturally this Dad would brag, but I have no clue where she gets it from, because it certainly is not from me!!

A heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you who have prayed for this and continue to pray. We were visited by both Pastor Brian Counts and Elder Terry Coffelt from Village Seven PC. We are so very thankful for such a loving and gracious church family.

Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to go overseas. Last week was eventful for us as we had our annual missions conference, and it was a neat privilege to take part. Despite our hectic week in getting prepared for surgery and speaking at different events, the Lord saw fit to increase our support significantly during the week. We still have a long way to go, but the Lord is showing His timing and power in the process.

Kurt will be travelling to Phoenix, AZ and California in the coming weeks in support development. We are so thankful for the opportunity to present the needs of the growing church in East Africa.
