It's Been a Quiet week in Lake Victoria...my home town

I won't claim to entertain like the Prairie Home Companion.  Keillor can keep his job.  Mine for the present is that ever present task of managing the impossible....TIME.  At about this point in every semester I find myself managing energy to make time more efficient.  "Do I dare take a 15 minute power nap....?"    And so goes the quest to be effective and efficient.  My world is the ever present and humbling scramble to present lecture material well, and the time to think through the issues that are important.  Rambling on is pointless when the precious student is struggling to keep up the pace and absorb mass quantities of material.  Ergo, when the kids are in bed, Marlene and I are back at it....reading, grading papers, more reading....,and oh yes, we make to have time for each other and read books that are important to us!
Balance then is key here.  What is hard is the fatigue will creep in as the long days continue...   We're so thankful for those pray for us!

The kids are sneezing, sniffling, etc., fighting with all their allergic might to respond to our new tropical environment.  Thankfully nothing serious.  Nick had this 104 degree temp for an afternoon...and then it quit promptly (Thank you Lord).
The additions to the house are just about finished.  We should be ready for the baby in plenty of time.  Mommy and baby are in good shape!
More to come.....
